Engineering documents are signed and sealed only after the appropriate engineering evaluation, design and professional review have been completed. PEC does not sell an engineering stamp separately from professional engineering services.

Can PEC help get my building permit approved?
Yes. Permit help is one of our most requested services. Depending on the contracted scope, PEC can review or prepare permit drawings, provide structural and foundation engineering, prepare engineering calculations, and provide sealed engineering documents within our contracted engineering scope — then support the application through review. Our four permit help packages start at $1,500 for small residential projects.
Can PEC respond to comments from the parish, city or Fire Marshal?
Yes. Responding to building-department and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) comments is a normal part of our permit help scope — including plan-review comments from parish and city permitting offices and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal. Send us the comment letter with your plans and we’ll scope exactly what's needed to resolve it.
